Vira Virakta Santa Louis Gozanga by Fr Prashanth Madtha, SJ
A short biography in Kannada on Saint Aloysius Gonzaga written lucidly enumerating the achievement of this young Jesuit saint from Italy. A model for youth, Gonzaga served the plague victims while epidemic hit the city of Rome badly. Even though, plague brought him death, his service to the sick people brought glory to the heavens.
Mangluru Misavancho Pratham Vir: Fr Angelo Maffei, SJ by Swami Supriya, SJ
A short biography of Jesuit Fr Angelo Maffei, one of the first Jesuit educationists in Mangalore. Being an Italian, he made Mangalore his second home and wrote in Kannada including grammar to Konkani and a Konkani dictionary. This book contains a vivid and passionate work of the Jesuit missionary toil and struggle for Christ before the suppression of the Society of Jesus. The location is in and around Mysore and some parts of Tamil Nadu. A well crafted historical work just as the title suggests, the graves of these great men of the Society still continue to speak today.



ಜನಕನ ಮನದನ್ನ (Beloved of the Father) by Fr Devadatta Kamath, SJ

An epic in Kannada based on Christian Scripture. Composed on a particular meter, the author brings alive the history of salvation in the person of Jesus Christ with a robust rendering of the biblical accounts of life and death of Jesus.
