The Jagir Pannur mission station was bifurcated from Manvi parish in the year 1994 and Fr. Augustine P. R. was appointed as its first parish priest.He renovated the presbytery and the church. The Jesuits took over the Mission in the year 2002. They have built a boarding house for the village children. They have started several Self-Help Groups for women, and opened a Medical Centre to serve 38 remote villages. Through their NGO (Centre for Non-Formal and Continuing Education), they have built 300 houses for the flood victims in various villages. They have been educating Dalit children from severalvillages. Sisters of St. Joseph of Tarbes were invited to run the Medical Centre in Pannur. The Jesuits have been doing evangelization work ever since they took over the station, according to the agreement made between the Diocese and Karnataka Jesuit Province in June 2005.A non-formal school was started in 2012 in a small shed. A newly built large church was blessed by Bishop Henry D'Souza of Bellary on 19 January 2013. Loyola Kapepalady School building was blessed by Bishop Henry D'Souzaon 12 December 2015. The newpresbyterywas declared open by the Karnataka Jesuit Provincial Fr. Stanislaus D'Souza SJ and blessed by Bishop Henry on 25 April 2016. It has two substations, namely – Hulgunchi and Yaddala Doddi.
